Atlantic City, NJ – December 2008 – Destination A.C.
The Association of Destination Management Executives (ADME) is pleased to announce that Destination A.C. has been awarded the Accredited Destination Management Company (ADMC) accreditation.  This accreditation is available to destination management companies (DMC) that meet the ADMC Program standards.  Program standards include requirements that measure the stability of the company, their commitment to the DMC industry and their service levels to clients.    

ADME´s Destination Management Company Accreditation program is designed to elevate professional standards and designate firms that demonstrate advanced knowledge and experience essential to the practice of destination management. The Accredited Destination Management Company (ADMC) designation assists the meeting planning community by identifying and qualifying standards and criteria that are indicative of the highest quality destination management service providers. This program recognizes DMCs that meet and adhere to these standards.

We´ve all read about companies like Wells Fargo that hastily canceled plans to host a Las Vegas employee conference after lawmakers in Washington learned about the trip and lashed out. Then there was Goldman Sachs, which moved its meeting from Las Vegas to San Francisco.

Corporate Meetings and Incentives
Atlantic City is taking a breather. After a spate of high-profile projects in the latter half of the 1990s-- notably, a new convention center and adjacent headquarters hotel, several casino hotel expansions, a minor league baseball stadium, a visitors center, and expansion of the terminal at Atlantic City International Airport--the belle of the New Jersey shore is looking ahead to 2002. Two new casino hotels are scheduled to open that year, increasing the number of casino properties to 14 and adding at least 2,000 guest rooms to the local inventory.

Aces Hight
"Always Turned On." That´s the tagline for Atlantic City as it continues to reinvent itself, despite some not-so-good news as of late: A number of directly competing casino resorts have opened in the Northeast; Donald Trump stated that casino revenues would be hurt by the 75 percent smoking ban that went into effect in 2007l and Pinnacle Entertainment abandoned plans to build Atlantic City casino on the site where it imploded the Sands Casino Hotel, due to increasing competition and the flailing economy.
